Bringing Revolution to Private Tuition

Many governments are thinking about a law change, so that unless you specify otherwise, it will be assumed you consent to donating your organs – heart, liver, lungs etc.
To many people this seems like common sense. To me though – and I carry a donor card – it reveals a nightmare vision of government gone mad, sending bodies off to the local government ‘sausage factory’, where useful organs are extracted, and the remains are cremated, quite possibly to heat government offices, or even the Royal Palaces.

Any history student kbows all about the collectivisation of the kulaks in 1930s USSR, when independent peasant farmers, suspected of being closet capitalists, were forced to become part of collective farms.
I have just listened to Alan Bennet argue for merging of private and state schools. Revolutionary that I am, I feel reluctant to kick the old man in the guts, but he is arguing for exactly the forced collectivisation that made soviet agriculture a disaster for the whole lifetime of the Soviet empire.

Anyone thinking of going to South Africa should be warned that students there are campaigning to repeal the Law of Gravity. This means that any aircraft entering South African jurisdiction will no longer feel the force of Gravity. The picture below shows the effect of this.

Some South African students take the view that because most scientific knowledge is a product of white western society, it should all be rejected and Africans should free themselves by reverting to a bongo-bongo culture where black people eat each other while sitting in mud huts and banging dumbly on drums.
What pathetic morons these people are, who reject everything they did not discover as worthless. Every western country has borrowed and stolen ideas that were better that the ones we had, even believe it not, from dumb black people who ate each other, while sitting in mud huts while beating dumbly on a drum.
Am we did not say that becuase we did not find it first it is useless.

But if there is nothing worth fighting for, there is nothing worth living for.

Religious people who try and convert you on the street are a bit of a nuisance. Twenty something years ago I saw someone standing on a wooden box swinging his arms and screaming about Jesus. A couple of weeks ago I was struggling to carry a garden bench and six garden chairs on my bike – really – to a railway station. Luckily, someone offered to help. He had just arrived from Pakistan and on the way to the station he tried to convert me to Islam.
At least they were both non threatening.

In India a teacher has just cut the head of a member of the untouchablle class using a communal granary, who he accused of making it unclean.
Arent teachers meant to be liberal and enlightened? Why arent teachers in India assessed for bigotry?

When I was at school, Pink Floyd was in the charts, number 1 -We Don’t Need No Education – Xmas 1980, Africa was being liberated and people everywhere were getting their rights.
My friends and I had very revolutionary sympathies.
Now all those have become part of the system we wanted to overthrow.

Often these days it costs as much to repair or buy new. The Swedish Government is to offer tax rebates on repairs to reduce the buying of new things in favour of repairing old ones.
We should do this all over the world, and even get rebates on things for making them last. We should also have lessons in school to repair broken things like computers or toasters.
This would give people the incentive, and the skills to save the planet.
