Quoted by a Book

astarmathsandphysics is probably referenced more than once in a book – categories of notes have been published in Pakistan – but at the moment the only reference I can find in any book is in ‘[Nature and Numbers: A Mathematical Photo Shooting’ yy Georg Glaeser.

Lost Piece of Nothing

I lost a woolly hat today that I bought for 50p from a car boot sale.
What really gets on my conscience about the trivia I lose is not the cost, but the thought that the Earth has been raped to make our little bits of trivia and we are careless enough to lose them.

Attracting Teachers

No surprise at the shortage of good teacher in school.
Teaching in a school is a horrible hob and noone likes you.
Surprised to hear though that seven hundred million pounds is spent on teacher training, no doubt training teachers to keep better paperwork.
What a waste of mone. And paper.

Ever thought about walking the streets knocking on peoples doors to ask if you could teach them some physics?

Ready for Work

Apparently some parents take the children to school in pyjamas.
Pretty tacky I think. Maybe they have nothing else to get out of bed for.
At least I put on a dressing gown, hat and tie.

Fast Learners

The refugees in the jungle refugee camp in Calais are not learning fast enough. When you turn up in a flimsy boat on the shores of a country, you are a refugee in that country. Why don’t they buy some flimsy little boats in the toy shops of Calais and struggle across the channel with them? If the make it to England, they will be refugees in England.

A 5 year old boy, home educated by his mum, a teacher, has died of scurvy.
Not visited by any sort of authority for years, not seen by doctor or dentist since 13 months, this boy had a wretched life.
Home education allows things abuse like this to happen.
