I get nauseous when another famous and powerful person dies and the tributes start coming in. What strikes me most is how many of these people are called the best of their generation when news of their death comes out.
For people who can’t be the best, which is most of us, be the best you can be.

Everyone loses when someone is stabbed. The victim is at the very least seriously injured and the perpetrator goes to jail.
Why can’t these criminals love their victims?
Because love is nice, but hate is easy.

You could start a blog on your proposed study area, go around the world for charity, start a charity, get an interesting part time job or volunteer.
Can’t think of anything that would make you stand out more though than painting yourself blue. That would certainly get you noticed. People would point and say, ‘there’s the blue one’.

Most drivers think they are better than the average driver.
Most students think they will get better than average grades
Most football players think they score more than the average number of goals
Wake up people. You are all just average.

It’s not true thst Britons don’t speak foreign languages. Britons usually speak at least one foreign language badly, and often several badly at once. A typical conversation with a bloody foreigner might go something like, ‘cannen ichum one beeren haven merci?’
I think I can do s little bit better. In my year of 90 German o level entries only one got a c or above.

And still pass a maths exam? By which I mean get a c.
At a level, the pass mark is about 60%.
At university the pass mark is a pretty uniform 40%.
In the Scottish highers this year it is 33% and I heard a few years ago it was 29% on an AQA GCSE paper. Beating them all though is the 15% a trainee teacher got on an intermediate GCSE maths paper. She continued on the course, so I suppose she mist have passed the exam.

When persuasive people get some power, often the first thing they do is to persuade the gullible, including ministers and prime ministers, to give them some money. So with the charity kids company and its founder, batwoman. Kids company has just collapsed in an scandal of incompetence and missing money.
Apparently hundreds of thousands of pounds has been wrongly paid to staff. The money should have gone to frontline work. A woman who can preside over such fraud and incompetence should be working for a bank.

What do you get when rich countries bomb and invade poor countries for no good reason?
Complete madness, senseless violence, destruction and chaos.
