Don’t Believe in Internet Testimonials

Testimonials on the internet are vetted. A lot of them are completely fake, written by business owners.
Try writing something bad about a business on their testimonials page and see if it gets approved. A fair testimonials page should have at some negative feedback to be credible. My own
testimonials page has only genuine feedback.

Impossible maths question

So this year, like most years, there was a question that was impossible to answer on an exam paper somewhere. In many vases there is no need for a question to be impossible to.answer. These situations usually arise when you are asked to prove or show something that is give on the paper. There is usually no need for this. The exam boards should hide the actual expression or formula to be arrived at, and their own inadequacy.

Sexism in science

Tim Hunt, Nobel prize winner, made a complete fool of himself and has had to resign from UCL after putting women off by talking about sexism in science. He should instead have talked about how their is no sex in science.
On second thoughts, that would have put everyone off.

UK Students Protest Against Unfair GCSE Maths Question

So British students found a GCSE maths question hard to answer – so hard that many of them took to twitter to protest.
Poor babies.
Of course they should be asked only the questions they no how to answer. Any question they find they can’t answer should be disregarded, the people who made up the question should be taken outside and shot. Students should be compensated for the stress they have suffered and should be praised to the rafters by everyone after all have scored 100%.
What a horrible world to live in.

Run for your life

Schools in Scotland are making pupils run or walk a mile every day, in addition to PE.
This is an original idea. S gray many children are fitter and healthier.
Unfortunately a great many children are picked up by their parents in their cars.
Why don’t schools ban parents from picking up pupils in their cars? Parents as well should have to undergo the daily mile.
And while they are doing that they can pick up some litter.

Home Hosting

Home hosting a website is possible and gives a lot more control than a professional host and means significant savings on hosting bills. With most homes now having broadband access, all you need is a low end pc and the software – usually free.
Most servers on the internet use apache to load the webpages, and dovecot/podtfix/spamassasin/clamav for the email server. The website software is also usually free – like joomla or WordPress. When servers become more user friendly, and children set up home based websites at school, the role of hosting providers will shrink.

Dumb Rich Girl

Like many.members of the royal family, princess Diana was dumb. So dumb in fact, that she failed all her o levels. Twice.
In her own words she was ‘as thick as a plank’ with ‘a brain the size of a pea’.
Many might think that such a dumbo marrying into the royal family might be to their disadvantage, lowering their average intelligence.
Not so.
Very few royals graduated from university. The first was Charles, who failed his a levels and studied a dumbed down history course at Cambridge.

Crackdown on Coasting Schools

The education secretary, Nicky Morgan, is to crack down on coasting schools, presumably by sacking everyone and replacing them with monkeys.
It is not for the education secretary to scream and shout at teachers anymore – maybe they have come to the conclusion that they can’t scream and shout loud enough to force teachers to listen.
Now it seems the only way for the education secretary to grab the attention of teachers is to grab them all individually by their neck and threaten them with joblessness.
Maybe she thinks noone else wants them.
Maybe they should all just quit and find something else to do – just to make a point.
