Prince William, that rare example in the British royal family of someone with enough intelligence to go to university, cannot convince anyone that he was admitted to Cambridge to study a course on agriculture on academic grounds.
In fact, Cambridge went so far as to design an entire 10 week course tailored to the prince – a course which will probably never be taken by anyone else.
The decision to admit him was probably influenced by his title the duke of Cambridge, that his father the prince of wales was a student there – with probably the worst a level grades of any student ever admitted – and his granny is the queen.

Our famously reliable webhost disabled the website yesterday after I took a few liberties, then had a major network outage for several hours. While looking at complaints about this, I got s little bit annoyed with other people using the same host, whose websites were also down, complaint this company was the ‘worst ever’ and threatening to take their business elsewhere, or sue, or go to their offices and brat them up.
Actually they are far from the worst. The worst will disable you website without warning and not let you download a backup.

There are many things that boost your brain.

An extended piece of coursework is one.

Solving little problems one at a time is another.  This is why education should teach us to be problem solvers. There are a lot of big problems out there that need to be solved. Solving the little problems students are set in school sets people in the habit of solving consciousness expanding big problems.

One obvious way to cut the cost of a holiday is to let schools set their own school year. There must be holidays at Xmas and Easter, but the summer holidays need not start at the end of July and carry on until the first week in September for EVERY school. If schools could set their own holidays, some summer holidays could start as early as late may, and some as late as mid August.

The result? Maybe an average of £1000 or more saved on a family holiday. Actually, everyone will benefit, even the single traveller and the airlines. The single traveller will pay less for their summer flights, and the airlines will benefit from an evening out of demand.

Makes you wonder what they were doing in school all that time. Maybe all that money spent on them was wasted. Maybe they should pay it back.

Pity about British students. Most students in British Universties seem to be from overseas.

I can see the point in a professional body for private tutors, but frankly, if they want to encourage people to join they have to not present any prospective member with an £85 membership fee.

Despite people becoming more qualified than ever before, they are on average now, worse off than their parents. People cannot afford to buy their own house, and many people find themselves in job interviews having to excuse the irrelevance of their Degree,

Many people must be wondering what use close to 20 years of education was for, if even Mcdonalds cna’t find a place for them.

A lot of my students are getting free ipads paid for by their school. One lucky student has been given two. I have been told one school has paid £200,000 of magic money to give students what the rest of us would have to pay for ourselves.

Does having an ipad make you smarter or improve your exam results? Can it result in you becoming a techie entrtepreneur? No frankly. All it means is that you can stay late in bed on facebook.
