I just rang a reputable tutoring agency (fleet-tutors) to see how much they would charge for a tutor with an MSc\/Phd to come to my house to teach me maths at Degree level.
\nThey wanted
\n\u00a385 registration fee
\n\u00a35 per lesson travelling fee if they have to spend longer than 15 minutes travelling (extremely probable)
\n4 lesson fees up front at \u00a351 per hour.
\nBasically you have to pay them \u00a3300 and if the tutor is not suitable, that is \u00a3300 you have lost.
