Germany and Sweden are the most open societies in Europe at the moment. The Germans in fact are showing themselves to be true friends of liberty by taking close to a million asylum seekers compared to about 30,000 for the UK.<br \/>\nThe UK is shrinking its horizons and closing its mind to all the suffering everywhere that we could do a little to alleviate by taking in some refugees.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The shrewish screams from the British government about asylum seekers is making me angry.
