When to Use the Left Hand Rule and When to Use the Right Hand Rule


The left hand rule is also called the motor rule and should be used whenever a current in a magnetic field induces a force.	The right hand rule is also called the dynamo rule rule and should be used whenever a force on a conductor in a magnetic field induces a current.
