Thst is what it would cost me. In small part because they are more expensive to repair. In large part because if you drive a BMW you are a complete bumsucking pricklicking moron with less sense than a lemming. Fortunately I am not and my insurance is only about £200.

As part of a crackdown on immigrants, they are to use their pitiful wages.
This is so unjust, that they should be exploited by everyone then find their wages confiscated by the government.
There will be riots over this, and if there are not, there should be.
Immigrants should be given every opportunity to make good.  How can we be a liberal country if we deny natural justice to the most persecuted among us?

My new years resolution this year is to pick up one piece of litter every day and put it in a bin.

Navies should do better fighting each other for the right to save them.

Today, riding my bike, I.had a puncture. I got to my first student, then bought a puncture outfit only to find I had no tyre levers.
Then someone came out of a shop, with levers, took my tyre off, let me fix my puncture, pumped my tyre, gave me a bottle of water and sent me on my way.
I have done a lot of good to strangers and if is nice to see my own goodness hit me in the face

Muslim boatpeople from burma and Bangladesh. Noone wants them.

Let them off the boat, give them some tea and toast and set them to work.
There is litter to pick up, fruit to pick, leaflets to drop… This is all work for unskilled migrants.

In the UK the government is thinking of handing more power and money to local government, and allowing election of mayors to cities like Manchester.
This may sound like a good idea. Unfortunately turnout and interest in local elections is low. Many councillors are elected unopposed and many local councils have been local one party states for years. Local democracy will mean more corruption and lead to less trust in every sort of public servant, including even police, who now also have oversight by locally elected officials.
