A New Model for Retailing on the British High Street

Times are hard in the UK at the moment and retailers are having to adapt. The glut of empty shops is, it seems, producing some strange results, with many retailers occupying more than one shop on the same high street.
Barclays, Carphone Warehouse, and Asda have stores in Bexleyheath for example, only a couple of hundred metres apart – I think they aim to have a store at either end of the high street.
Santander however, have to go one better. They have one at either end, and one in the middle.
