The Men in Power

While the Korean ferry was capsizing and sinking, it seems the crew wailed and talked amongst themselves about what to do next.
The passengers hardly figured in their conversation at all, until eventually the crew escaped and left the passengers to die.
This says something about the dynamics of power, that the men in power isolate themselves from those they are meant to serve because those they are meant to serve are passive and obedient.
