Listening to the news today, I heard that Wonga has lost £38m in the past year. So distressed was I that I hunted around for all the loose pennies in my sofa and wardrobe and managed to scrape together 54p. I am prepared to offer you 54p as a loan to tide you over these hard times. I realise that 54p is not a lot of money but it is a start. I feel if others follow my example, we can work through this.

They offer a service that desperate people with no legitimate way into Europe are ready to pay for.
It’s not as if these people could hop on a plane or ferry and dance their way through immigration.

Used to get them all the time living in a house with 6 unemployable young men who I would ask several times a day to keep the music down, with police and council and landlord assistance.
For three days I got abusive phone calls but not being such a bright spark they left their number visible and the police were able to trace them.

Jewelry is so tacky. It makes me think of primitive people decorating themselves with beads. We should melt down all our gold and make computers, give all our diamonds to industry etc. The queen could set a good example here, having more gold and diamonds than most of us. If she feels the need to decorate herself she should wear coloured beads and tigers teeth, like the pygmies in Africa she used to rule over.
