I just rang a reputable tutoring agency (fleet-tutors) to see how much they would charge for a tutor with an MSc/Phd to come to my house to teach me maths at Degree level.
They wanted
£85 registration fee
£5 per lesson travelling fee if they have to spend longer than 15 minutes travelling (extremely probable)
4 lesson fees up front at £51 per hour.
Basically you have to pay them £300 and if the tutor is not suitable, that is £300 you have lost.
A case for trading standards here I think.

Freecycle is one of my favourite websites, where people can give away their unwanted stuff.
I freely give and freely get there.
Lately however there has been a spate of people asking for ‘your unwanted smartphone (preferably an iphone 4 or better)’ or laptop.
It seems to me that these are people who are not satisfied unless they can have the latest gizmos for free, unless of course they are actually collecting their booty and selling it. Last time I checked, an iphone 4 in good condition was worth about £200. Who in their right mind would give one away?

So now we know what a hero the hooligan prince is, now he has boasted of lining all those little afghan men up in his helicopter gunsights and letting his load loose (sexual pun intended).
The hooligan prince will now no doubt be a hero amongst his fellow Royals, probably none of whom has ever killed a little brown man or wiped their nose on his beard.

Incredible as it may seem a woman in the UK was prosecuted for nominating a dummy for electoral office. I did think this was the sort of thing that happened nowhere outside of Africa and China/Russia. Is it possi le then to prosecute the idiots who select our leaders, all of them no less dummies than that poor woman’s candidate.
