I Understand Golf Now

18 holes to a course, with each hole given a score (number of shots to get a ball in the hole that a first class player would take).
If you get the ball in the hole in the expected number of shots, that is par. If you take one shot more, that is a bogey, two shots more that is a double bogey. One shot less (better), is a birdie, two shots is an eagle….

Never thought of that. What an easy way to make money. Loan out your clothes to any desperate wino for whatever pennies they can beg in the tube and I will be able to get that new car in no time.

Dissatisfied With Three Mobile?

Me too.
They took three weeks to send me a phone at the start of my contract.
They took THREE MONTHS to repair my phone, then once my phone failed with the same problem, they managed to lose it. I totally lost it when they found it again and put it to the back of the queue to be repaired.

I managed to extract these numbers from them
Thee customer complaints 0800 358 4916
They are higher up the food chain than customer services.
Three Repair Centre – 0844 338 0136
Call them and keep calling to get some satisfaction

Hacked off

Website was hacked on Friday. Not the sort of hacking I’ve ever seen before either. Previous hackings have left a datestamp on a file, so I could remove malicious code by looking at which files have recently changed, but this hacking changed the datestamp of the file so I hade to open lots of individual files – it took 24 hours to track down the malicious code.
They are getting cleverer all the time.

Please Keep the M4 Closed so Oiympic Tourists Must Camp There For a Month

Anyone getting off a plane at Heathrow and getting into London via the M4 is doomed at the moment. Olympic VIPs and athletes especially.
I, as a Londoner am ********************** off at Olympic VIPs able to VIP past me in their own private VIP lane. There will be no such VIP lane on the M4, which is cloed at the moment, and hopefully, for the duration of the olympics.

A New Model for Retailing on the British High Street

Times are hard in the UK at the moment and retailers are having to adapt. The glut of empty shops is, it seems, producing some strange results, with many retailers occupying more than one shop on the same high street.
Barclays, Carphone Warehouse, and Asda have stores in Bexleyheath for example, only a couple of hundred metres apart – I think they aim to have a store at either end of the high street.
Santander however, have to go one better. They have one at either end, and one in the middle.

You Are Yellow Bob

Bob Diamond, ex of Barclays bank, has just agreed to forgo his bonus of many millions of pounds.
Frankly, this is the last yellow gesture of a reject.
A true hero would have taken it and spent it on dynamite (I realise he does not have enough for an atom bomb), donating it to the most likely of al qaeda/ira/anti capitalist group/columbian drug warlord set on blowing as much of the earth as possible to bits.

The Police Do Abuse Their Powers Too Much

I just saw a naked runner on tv tasered for refusing to stop
And there was the newspaper seller (now the subject of a criminal trial) pulled over and killed in the street.
And the teenager pushed off his bike for riding through a police line.
Frankly it’s only tit for tat if one of them suffers occasionally.

I Can Still Remember When…

The Queen visited my home town in 1977 during her silver jubilee, she having reigned over England (and me) for 25 years.
I BOOED (AND LATER I POOED, THINKING OF HER.
I was 9 years old at the time.
All my booing and pooing had no effect. She still reigns over England (and me). I doubt she even remembers the little ginger revolutionary from 35 years ago.
